Advancing through a small farm on a frosty morning, a patrol comes under fire from the distant tree line. One man is hit and they return fire. This simple set up uses one of our backdrops, a couple of grassy bases, a W. Britain springhouse and a H&A stone wall. These are just a few of my favorite figures from our recent release of WWII U.S Infantry for the 1944-45 campaign in the ETO.
The figures wear a combination of the the M41 jackets with wool trousers introduced in the mid 1930s and the M43 combat uniforms. From late 1944 on it was not unusual to see any combination of these uniforms worn in the same unit. The M43 uniform was made with OD7 shade 100% cotton sateen cloth, and became common place by December and prevalent by early Spring 1945. Many more poses have been sculpted and will be offered later this year.
