Looking forward to other FSB diorama pieces like the latrines and Flag pole being released. Could do with some straight lengths of sandbag walls !

Yes I realise everything is a little close together !{sm0}:p

Good one Steve, glad you mentioned it because the dispersal of the gun platforms was one of the major defence considerations in planning of a fire base.

If the gun pits are sited are too close together, any incoming fire can cause a ripple effect onto other sites if the ammo is hit.
Also having vehicles a long way away is also most advantageous seeing they are a source of flammable fuel.

In 'olden time' the horses were kept well to rear of the guns, in the wagon lines so to keep the gun's transport safe.

Looking forward to more images soon?

Back in the mid to late-1990's, Gordon and Andy would take orders for Vietnam firebases, which are made in both 2-piece and 6-peice versions (both the same size). Here is a photo of mine with some period K&C Vietnam products from 1995, from the cover of the K&C Book on Modern War:

Good one Louis ! :salute::

No surprise to anyone that I'm very happy Andy decided to reimagine this range !^&grin

Nevertheless Steve you have some marvellous pieces in this series and it’s just a pleasure to see them in any setup. Terrain and backdrop become an increasing issue as you expand the footprint of any diorama, not to mention space. Always a challenge, but also exciting to pursue. Robin.

Thanks Robin ! :salute::

Yes Andy has done us proud with the line up of vehicles and figures in the Vietnam range and I like the add on diorama scenic pieces done so far and look forward to more. Still has so much more possibilities for this range. So far there's only been the one ARVN soldier and hope for more.

At the moment if I want to depict an ARVN unit I just have to scatter some M16's about, as the joke goes, Never fired and only dropped the once ! {sm4}

Great to see 'new' K&C along with 'vintage' K&C Vietnam sets and scenes, looking forward to some more pictures.

I want a helicopter so bad for the Viet series, I may breakdown, buy a model kit and build it...and then cover all my mistakes with damage-or just use it as a crashed chopper {sm4}
