As some of you may know i was somewhat looking forward to the Arnhem releases(said with tongue firmly in cheek!
)On Saturday at the London show i purchased the new Jeep MG01 and four single figures.
I am very impressed with the Jeep. Its surprisingly heavy for a jeep and is very well made.I like the Black and Green camo and the stowage lashed down on the bonnet.Of the two figures i really like the chap who is driving whilst trying to make himself heard to his comrade manning the MG.The Bren gun next to the Driver looks good and the whole vehicle looks very authentic to me.
The four figures i purchased are MG 05,06,10 and 11.These make up my small patrol.I really can't find fault with any of these figures and is quite difficult to choose my fave.If pushed i would probably choose MG 06 Para walking with Rifle. This perhaps because it reminds me of one of Ronald Volstads drawings. However all the figures are very good,i particulally like the modelling of their equipment especially on the Radio guy,i like the way he carrys his helmet on his hip.
Overall i am very impressed with my first purchases from this series and look forward to my next.I can also say that however much fun it is looking at pics of these online,it does not do justice to the figs. Its only when you see them in the flesh you realise just how excellant they are.
