I have been on the FL website for a while, and what a big surprise to see all those brand new series, but would like to highlight two special figures that impressed me the most, not only by the sculpture but for the incredible painting, special on the face....

Great job

Regards

The Civil War sets are some of the best painted figures I've ever seen, no doubt. However, this one that I have is one of the best, if not the best.

I am in total agreement that those Confederate infantry figures are the best I have ever seen. I never waiver on my plea to get Matt and his team to do a set of Confederate cavalry both mounted and dismounted and since his focus is on the Gettysburg campaign theme to extol that yes indeed Day 3 at Gettysburg was the site over at East Cavalry Field of an epic cavalry fight between the two sides mounted branches. It's common knowledge that FL is in the midst of a slow moving rollout of a terrifically well sculpted and painted dismounted Union Cavalry squad to depict Buford's Brigage specifically the 8th Illinois Cavalry fending off Heth's Corps moving up the Cashtown Road into Gettysburg. I hope that line gets to market so that some semblance of Day 1 Gettysburg from FL's standpoint gets on the market. From there Day 2 who knows where FL goes...I suspect Hood's Texans or some of the Union troops that engaged at Little Round Top will get favored billing. Eventually by say 2016 or so maybe we can get some mounted Confederates into the mix. It's the most underserved side and branch of any of the participants in the ACW from a 54mm-1/30-32 scale standpoint. With FL's penchant for quality and very good sculpts I'll continue to lobby for this specific line going forward. Matt are you listening: We need mounted Rebels!
