I have just ordered my first Figarti train piece and can't wait. It is just the box car, but if I like the detail I'm going to try to talk my wife into letting me get the locomotive and the rest of the pieces. Do those of you that have some of the pieces think they are worth the money? Just need some input to supply to my lovely and understanding wife.

Are they worth the money? Yes. The detail on these pieces is fantastic, I don't think you'll be dissappointed, and the BR52 loco will blow you away. The only word of warning is that this thing is BIIIIIG!!!!
It's proving to be harder than I imagined to integrate this in to my collection without arousing suspicion from the other half. {sm2}

Thanks Mike.......Doing this scene was a very different change of pace......Another example of a interesting non action scene. Alex

Do the train cars come with a set of rails, or do you have to buy those sections separately?

Well worth the money and just wish Figarti would add to the range

Scale wise, how we'll do k&c figures interact with figarti's trains?

I have been trying to find out the figure scale for the BR 52 for some time but no-one wants to reply....my guess that at 60mm the K&G would be too big.....not that you could not use them....my guess ...is 1/30 scale for real world comparison.....that loco would be at least 16ft/14ft high if not higher in real world terms....awesume model...have not seen better... cheers TomB

The scale should be 1/35...not...1/30 which is 60mm....1/35 is approx 48/50 mm...I have been told.....if a "fit all scale "...was used it would sure make things simpler...cheers TomB

The train 1/30 scale like the rest of Figarti range , problem is KC figures are more 1/28 scale than 1/30 scale so don't think you can blame Figarti for that can you ! I know Wayne using KC figures with the train and photos I've seen look fine

I know Wayne is useing K&G with his loco..(seen the pictures) they look fine...no problem with that,,,,,,,what scale figures are in Firebat pictures....are they Figarti 1/30 scale ?......simple question...but can I get an answer ?.....is 1/30 scale 60mm ?......if some-one asked me to make a 1/32 scale figure...how big do I....
make it ? would it be bigger or smaller than the TS of that scale ? or do I make a figure...regardless of scale so it would look proportional to their AFV...regardless of the scale of the AFV Scales are confusing aint they ......cheers TomB

Tom,

1/30 is very loosely 60mm. There are slight differences in sizes, both in terms of height and stature / bulk, between the different manufacturers and this can lead to some differences if mixing some manufacturers figures.

With regards to the loco and rolling stock, these are 1/30 (or as near as dam it), and due to the size of the thing, you'd be quite happy mixing any of the manufacturers 1/30 scale figures with it. The train pretty much dwarfs them anyway.

Cheers
Simon
