Saw this person selling First Legion on ebay and could not believe the asking price for single figures, especially the winter Germans.

Items for sale by impaler6661933 | eBay

That is around US$152 without postage and custom fees.
For us Brits it is £126 including postage.

I knew they were expensive but this person is asking incredible prices.

They are excellent figures, only have 2 of the WW2 Winter Germans and i do like theem

I really like their German stuff too but that is ridiculous!!

I don't know how anybody sells anything at these prices. I guess it takes that one special person to come across it and want it real bad.{eek3}

I don't know about you guys but I see things sell on ebay for much more then you cost brand new directly from First Legion.

I'm not talking about retired figures, that is all about someone wanting or feeling the need to have something they can no longer buy off the shell, that's a different animal.

I'm talking about items still in stock and sitting in the FL warehouse, it really is a head scratcher and leaves you wondering just what are these buyers thinking.

What they are thinking is not everyone is tremendously well versed on toy soldier dealers and manufacturers, they see something they like and they pull the trigger.

Some of the questions people ask me about my listings "Did you paint these/are they metal or plastic/how tall are they/can I buy the figure unpainted/what material is the tank made of/do the tracks move on the tank/are these made to be played with by children" tell me not everyone is a toy soldier expert, they are simply people who see something that peaks their interest and they buy it.

Ebay is simply a marketplace for people to come to who are looking for certain things, toy soldiers is not in everyones wheelhouse.

And many over charge on postage, a box TF and guys charge the same for one figure,

and make excuses to the cost

Something is truly only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Toy soldiers are not exempt from this equation.

There are people with lots of money and very little time.
