The 1st and 4th Tank armies fought around Stalingrad and were virtually destroyed there, butT-34s were arriving in ever increasing numbers by 1942, so they would have had T-34/76 models.

One of the T-34 factories was in Stalingrad at the very time of the battle & they were cranking them out up until the Germans overran it in mid October, then the workers were were drafted into NKVD militia units.

Franks post # 82 on the First Legion Battle of Barrikady Gun Factory ,1942 thread , has a great picture of what one of these T-34's from the factory may look like . Would love to see what FL could do with Russian Armor , All in good time I'm sure . All the best Gebhard

I wouldn't be suprised if the T34 was on Matts' "To do list" for the STALINGRAD series.. We still need a german "camera/man/correpsondant"
