Hi all,

not wanting to start a panic buying thread here but let's face it, don't wait to long on purchasing any First Legion vehicle as thier popularity has only increased with time, this goes back to the first Stalingrad range of the Stugs/Panzer III as both were on the market for a good while but once they took off they became as scarce as hens teeth and today your lucky to ever see them for sale, as mentioned the Dak series has moved a little slower?? next the Recon, Opel trucks, Prime mover came out and most are still available, and last year both the long barrel and short barrel IVs became so popular they were gone in no time and had to have First Legion do a second round to accommodate collectors that had missed out on the first round, then the 3 varieties of Half Tracks were released with even more success!! and now we have come to the Winter IV and looks to be selling out just as quick with Matt mentioning having to produce another round for March, I did enjoy the days of being able to wait and pick up a vehicle at my leisure now and then but let's face it the demand for First Legion vehicles have taking off big time, hopefully with the success of these new sets First Legion will increase production numbers and no one has to miss out, but there is a fine line for any company to sell product to make a profit versus sitting on boxes of back stock losing money...Sammy

I think Matt mentioned some place that the other consideration is that vehicles take so much more production capacity than figures that figures are much more attractive to produce than vehicles - irrespective of the number of vehicles produced. I guess you cannot win with vehicles of that quality.

As a new fan of First Legion, I am lucky to have a new SNOW IV tank. But, so many original sets are so difficult to buy. It's so pity and unhappy.
I really hope First Legion company can do something for its fans.

I hear you man...I started collecting First Legion early on and so I was able to purchase all their early grey Stalingrad AFV's .....It's a shame that some of these earlier AFV's are not re-released with different turret numbers or other minor division variances so that new comers could acquire these Panzers....THE DEMAND is certainly there, despite what some may think.........Hopefully FL will re-visit these subjects soon....I would personally like to see a grey Stalingrad Stug III short barrel gun....Stug III Ausf D.:salute::

With the Canadian dollar being so low right now I have to pick and choose. I passed on the winter Pz.IV short.

I think the old days of vehicles being available for years are likely behind us. I can only imagine when a Tiger is released or some of the Normandy vehicles.

Frank

IMO we have enough Normandy Tigers recently released from Figarti except for a King Tiger which may be on the way as we speak:wink2:.....I'm still hoping for an FL (Grey) Stug III Ausf D (short barrel) for early 1942 Operation Barbarossa invasion of Russia....I must admit that the dark panel lines on the new FL Winter Panzer IV is quite disappointing to me :(....I was expecting a Winter Panzer IV "properly painted"... i.e. as presented and depicted in the FL website photo which is how I expected it to be in the flesh:confused::(.....THAT is what I THOUGHT I was purchasing......So if your going to pass on an FL AFV I guess this is a good one to pass on... I will definitely be trying to "adjust the paint"/white wash on this one to be more like the FL product photo.....I am hoping that I can do a good realistic re-paint over some of those dark panel lines.
