Polish infantrymen pour suppressive fire on a German column while the cavalry rush forward to seize the opportunity over a vital river crossing. Sometime in September, 1939.

Really loving how the Poles came out! I had just come back from Poland when they were released so Andy's timing could not have been better :salute::

...And first to display a dio depicting the Polish cavalry in action! And not any dio, but an extremely well created scene, with lots of action and very well built! Congratulations! :salute::

That bridge explosion looks real. You have used these new figures to their best. The Germans appear to have the upper hand in this fight. Robin.

Thank you! The explosion was a bit finicky at first but after it's propped up right and has some sediment sprinkled in it definitely pays off... let's just hope the cavalry can close the gap quickly enough to negate that Panzerjager's firepower. With any luck the MG crew on the other side will keep that halftrack MG occupied.

Thank you! I originally was trying to go for a more subtle scene inspired by the part in 'Maus' when the Germans and Poles duke it out over a river (big thanks to RoboNarples for this idea) but after setting up the terrain I thought "Might as well go the whole nine yards" and showcase the cavalry in all their glory too!

Brilliant mate! Very realistic!

How did you create the explosion?

Scott

Thanks Scott! What I did was I took a large clump of cotton and twisted the upper half around in my hand until I was satisfied with it. I then just sprinkled it with some excess dirt and turf and presto :salute:: same process for the bullet impacts.
