These are very nice John.

Are these done in superior or traditional gloss? They look a little less detailed than Konrad's superior gloss commissions.

John,

Really nice paint job, I especially like the hose details – I find it more of a challenge than the tartan!

This is great stuff John, didn't know those Rose castings, very nice, but it's your painting that makes them stand out, maybe I saw them but didn't notice them..till now! Do you think they are compatible with Tradition's?

Paulo

Hi Randy, yes they are superior gloss, perhaps its my photographic talents (lack of) that don't show them off very well.

Hi Jeff and Scot thanks for the nice comments. Yes Jeff I also prefer to do the tartan than the hose, I tend to find that I have a big gap between the lines or that I have created an extra line by the time I get round the other side of the leg. I wish someone would produce diced hose paint:D:D

Hi Paulo

Yes the Rose FIW are compatible with Tradition and Fusilier FIW figures and the castings are a very reasonable price from John Eden studios on ebay.

John,

thanks for showing us the Rose Miniatures, its SO good to see that they are still available , even though they don't have the original bases, but the sculpting skills of Russell Gammage shines through and enhanced with your wonderful painting skills.

I have a few Scottish that I've painted in gloss finish, so I'd like to show them off too....

Sorry about the small images, they are from an old camera, and I need to re photograph many for my website,
