I believe that Mr. John Jenkins is a tremendously accomplished artist and probably a very nice person. Who am I to say it anyway. His figures are excellent, my personal taste just doesn't go with those faces, it's something very personal and what I find odd can look good to others.
Right now I am really going for the wonderful Redcoats/Bluecoats from Britains and expect great things from Britains when it comes to FIW ( figure groups, both in matte and gloss, come January? ). I also rate Tradition's FIW range very highly and am pondering if I should take the plunge also on this one.
But to me it looks more and more like waiting to see what more FIW Britains will have to offer next year. Any thoughts?

As most of you know almost every manufacturer is backed up with product as a result of the slowdowns in Mainland China.
There are plans to add both Gloss and Matt style figures to several periods, including the 1750-60s period...but we cannot nail down when these will be released.
The 2009 catalog is due in January and there will be some interesting additions to existing collections and a few new subjects unveiled too!
All the Best!

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the update on the FIW figures. Matt FIW would be great, especially if the quality is similar to the Museum series. Aside from the Huron, any indians in the offing? How about some WWI Light Horse for the Middle East.

Also it would be beneficial if Britains could at least post accurate estimates for the release dates of the 2008 material.

Cheers,
Benjamin
