You are right that Figarti are far to big to go with these FL figures. I think the Vietnam guys go well together with Figarti and I may get some to mix in a diorama. Chris.

I use Fl with my Figarti armour but don't mix the figures

I agree the Figarti Vietnam figures go very well with FL. Maybe its because the Figarti figures are 1/32 and NOT 1/30 scale like there WWII Russian figures.

I have been doing a lot of work on this particular subject.......As you can see the Figarti Russians are much larger than the FL ....There is absolutely no match there.

FL figures do match excellent with Figarti Russian Tanks. It is a real good combo in both size and detail !

The Figarti Russians are so big that they almost dont match with any armor, we need The Collectors Showcase to come to our rescue and do some big Russian stuff. The Figarti Russians are among Figarti's best figures to date, I would hate to have to can them because there is no proper scale AFV's to use with them.

K&C's T-34's are in the ball park with the Figarti Russians, but still a bit small.

Vietnam is a different story, Figarti and FL match well in both figures and the Huey.

True, but I do have a hangup with using too many of the FL summer Russians for late war Russians. They have that 41-42 primitive look without the shoulder boards. I do hope Matt makes an offshoot Berlin line, even if small, to complement the Russians. It would tie in nice to feature Chuikov & his 8th Guards Army which is just the renamed Stalingrad 62nd Army. Would be nice to have the army as at Stalingrad vs. as at Berlin. Chuikov meeting with Krebs would make a nice little diorama.

I Agree

I wonder if the SS folk would be happy with Berlin SS, or they just want Normandy?

Thinking about it, Berlin & Arnhem could probably be used interchangably, wasn't there an Arnhem rumor?

Of course Normandy, Market garden and Berlin SS are interchangeable. Also russians Stalingrad or Berlin, the only question is about the clothing spring or winter...Why do you write " primitive look" in Stalingrad...I don' t think russian uniforms have changed during the war ; they were very simple ones..

Yeah, I suppose grass bases could be used in the Tiergarten.

About the Russians, they are more likely to have shoulder boards after Stalingrad. It's like the Germans changing boots after Stalingrad. I wouldn't field a force entirely of jackboots for 1945. The Russians get a little more polished after Stalingrad, the Germans decline a little

It's mainly the tunic...collar, shoulder boards & rank placement

Russians are notoriously bad for horrible photo doctoring anyone notice anything strange about that dead German soldier lying in the foreground{eek3} regards Gebhard.... Great points by the way regarding the uniforms good to see someone interested enough in the period to do research :wink2:

He looks very out of place & was moved there, if he's not a living Russian to begin with. What are the clues you see?

To me the Dead so call soldier if really dead would not have his right leg in the position it is in.
Unless it was sub-zero weather :wink2:

Does look a bit odd doesn't it, silly really posing a body like that, you'd have thought under the circumstances they wouldn't have had to look TOO hard to find a real dead German! ^&confuse
