I saw that JJD made some excellent flight stands. Different heights and angles. This would be a great addition (to make) to Figarti helicopters landing in a hot LZ.

I asked this question as well.....Does Figarti make a flight stand for their Hueys?? I noticed in the Chicago show photos that there was a stand for simulating the landing of the copter....Was that a custom stand made for the Vietnam diorama??

Hi, I noticed that nobody replyed to this question. I ordered the Marine and Cav Helos (3 and a half years in VN with SF plus numerous jumps OUT OF THESE GREAT BIRDS), and really would like a stand. If anyone knows please let me know. Regards, Larry.

As far as I know the stand was part of the custom diorama, with wires running up it to power the special motorized Huey models. There was no mention of separate stands for sale at the OTSN.

Hi Guys,
Louis is correct, the stand at the Chicago show was a one off to display the motorised Huey.
I have had a couple of stands made at different heights for the London show which you will be able to see photos of this weekend.
I'm still refining them as I want to make them as unobtrusive as possible but still give stability.
Once back from the show I'll post the measurements used and hopefully some detail photos.
Simple acrylic is the medium. It is probably going to make them too expensive if I have them made and then ship to US but if demand is good enough I'm happy to see what we can do.
Regards
Clive

I think JJD is really on to sometime that all manufacturers of warbirds should produce. You could produce dog fights, dioramas could include air cover, strafing troops and columns of armour. Imagine KCs Typhoon attacking tanks, Figarti's V-1/V-2 in flight, planes flying over their airfields, a squadron in flight at varying heights. Congratulations JJD, I applaud you.
