Thanks for the advice...I am not really into painting...my wife is into craft,manly needle work but she has the odd tube of paint lying around and I use that...I will check out the paints next time I go to the craft store with her...I like your yellow variations...I have a large Flour and salt landscape made and not too sure what to paint it...just had a thought..I use water based ..flat matt paint...easy to use and a tube of paint lasts forever...regards TomBA suggestion
for the wall :
paint it humbrol sand
let it dry
now paint it oil burned Sienna with lot of additive, and wipe directly with a sponge
drybrush with yellow ochre ( very small quantity with a round brush ( a brush withiut tip )
mix a bit of white to the yellow ochre, dry brush again.. add white, light dry brush... add white, very light drybrush
