Just watched the 1942 John Wayne film 'Flying Tigers' for the umpteenth time. This is a typical film of the era in terms of special effects but there is some actual air combat film footage used. I also noticed that quite a bit of the special FX combat footage had evidently been lifted from some other special FX air combat film as many of the shots of the supposed P-40's are actually Spitfires, which are quite different in profile from P-40's and are very easy to spot. I know many of you have seen Flying Tigers and I was just wondering if anyone may know what film the Spitfire shots were lifted from? Just curious. -- Al
