I have not contributed anything to this forum in a while.

I made a small "football showcase" diorama with some Jenkin's and took some photos.

I used SB02, SRR-07, SBX-01 and the Ranger's hut.

They blend well together.

First off a great idea, and a wonderful diorama. What a unique idea for a

football trophy case!

Very nice job!

I have those cases too Mike.I have 4 or 5 0f them of different sizes. They are nice for keeping dust off the figures.I got mine at Michael's.
Mark

That looks fantastic, but if I had a ball signed by Roman Gabriel or Deacon Jones those guys would need a new home. ;)

Thank you John and I got mine at Hobby Lobby Mark.

Doug, these are for footballs, I think, or maybe basketballs, but they do have smaller ones for baseballs that might make a good single figure dio case.

The French and Indians would have cried for their mamas if they had seen this:

Thats a neat idea Michael, looks good. I should try something like that.

Great video Doug, if you ever get a close-up view of his hands, look at his fingers.

I have never seen a more mangled mess of crooked, bent, dis-jointed fingers in my life.

Broken, rebroken and re-rebroken.

Now, Mike, being a former Left Guard they never let me touch the little brown things, but I'd recognise one anywhere.....its missing from your case:eek:
Minus the ball, it looks sharp as hell! Put some quality time in this one also. Great for the holidays on the mantel(If you guys have 'em down there)
Mike

Nice dio, Mike! Coincidentally, it's at the craft store of the same name-Michael's-where I got my football display cases. They're just the right size. I'm making a little set of risers for one out of some birch luan.

Michael's runs a sale almost every other week, and those things are usually 40% off. The baseball display boxes are nice, too, as are the display cases for 1/24 car models. Those are a good size for a small diorama, too.

We can't state it too often-the craft stores are a great source of supplies for our hobby, too!

Prosit!

LOL

Mike - You are amazing ! :D

Two weeks ago I was in Michael's and they had these on sale for 50% off - I thought well might as well get one and put a small diorama in it - and see if it works? Now I can see - IT WORKS !

Great diorama - I might now buy those Cabins and Camp scenes that I like so much and follow your lead ! ;)

You are doing some really cool thing - always a pleasure to look at. Hey, who made the trees ?

Ron

Thanks Mike, Brad and Ron.

We have Michaels also, I got mine from Hobby Lobby, they usually have 50% off coupons, it ended up around $25 for the box.

Randy, aka, Polarbear was the one who gave me the idea. He did one and gave me some tips on placing figures so the box would fit over it.

The trees were from Mark @ Build a rama, he had them on a "sale" table for $5.00 each I believe in San Antonio, you might ask him. I bought all 3 of those and 5 different ones too.

Has anybody received the July releases yet?

My guy went on vacation and called me the other day to say I wouldn't get them til next week.

Can anybody show them in detail yet?

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday Michael what's nice about the dio is you can swap figures from time to time very nicely done. MICHAELS also offered at one time a baseball disply case as shown where my older Glossy Britains now reside.......The Lt.

They even come with a little clear acrylic ring, to set the ball on and center it in the case. The same company makes a slightly larger case, more square in shape, for basketballs (I suppose you guys not from the US could put a Fussball in it, too), and smaller ones, for baseballs. But at each size, they're nice-looking cases, but relatively reasonably priced.

Prost!
