For those of you who use an iPhone or an iPad, Apple has rolled a new security update for its devices running iOS 7. They consider this a critical update to protect its users from security threats. The update concentrates mainly on a problem with how iOS 7 validates SSL certificates.
Certificate validation is how a site or device verifies that the information is coming from a trusted source. By validating the certificate, Gmail, Facebook, and online sites know that the request is coming from you, and is not a spoofed attacker request.
At first I ignored the update but then received a few emails from different sources recommending updating your device ASAP so if you're using an Apple device, I recommend doing this as soon as you can.
