building two.jpgduilding.jpg CJG....rough idea of a basic way to make your own buildings...photo shows Plasticine and Flour and Salt models.....if you are interested in having a go at making a building yourself, let me known ......the kids would be handy making bricks,,,rolling out stuff....maybe ? ? ?....regards TomB

Thanks Tom. That looks very insightful and something I can do. My daughter is under three but I have 12 nieces and nephews and only half our 9 siblings have kids as we are the oldest two from our families, so it's pretty busy at my house. I have nearly fifty tanks and vehicles and my three year old daughter can tell you what they are.

This looks like something I can work on those few hours everynight when I finally get to poop out and relax.

Bit of a Tribe there mate...you may be able to rope a few into making bricks or rolling plasticine.....Good...I am glad you are interested.....no rush...just plod along at your own pace....in the next few days I will start a "How to make Buildings" on the How Too, diorama section of the forum...I suggest you use plasticine for your first try....as you get better...try the flour and salt mix....to show you how simple it is I will give you the ingredients now...your wife would know how to make pastry....the flour and salt mix is done the same ...One part plain flour...to ...1/3 cooking salt......mix together...(No need to add salt...joke )...make a well and add water...hot or cold....mix into a reasonable firm dough....like a pastry dough....so it will roll easily but firm ..allow for a little shrinkage....damp cardboard before you roll it on so it will stick and not move around while you are working on it...simple to me maybe but you will quickly sort it out....I can start with the simple building in the sketch ..or...if you have a pic of a building you would like to try and do ( And why not),,,send the pic and I will see what I can do to make it a project for you....glad you are interested in some hands on work for your collection...regards TomB
