Here is the New Zealand LRDG truck found in (if memory serves) 1976 in the North African desert.Apparently they changed the spark plugs,put new oil in her and she started up pretty quickly,don't make em like that anymore!;)

Thanks for posting shots Rob , I wonder how much of the truck was left sticking out of the sand after all those years . They had a parade for the
kiwis who served with this unit at the end of 2008 , at that point out of the
400 who had served only 13 are still with us.

Simmo,i must confess mate my dio is still at the 'trying to make my mind up' stage.I can't decide what to do next,i have a couple of ideas and am awaiting the release of any D day figures that may be coming in the next dispatches;).

Wow, weren't those trucks Chevy's? If so maybe GM should use these in their marketing commercials to show how well built their vehicles are! It would help get them out of the mess they are in!:)

what a great survivor! What is the kayak? That looks really interesting too.

i can just imagine the great gambale uk invasion. a whole new blitz is on the way. soldier shops be warned!
