Here is a doll house I built for my 6 year old daughter. It was a lot of work but fun if I didn't have the skills from my modeling and paintings experience I'm sure it would have been a lot more work and maybe not so much fun.

Alex....what a Great Dad!:)

As usual your work and attention to detail is superb!

It brings back fond memories.....the wife and I built one for our daughter 28 or 29 years ago! We put up a sheet in our front room and worked on it for a couple of weeks so it was ready for our daughter on Christmas day! I still remember all the brick & wood shingle work!

I must say your daughters new house looks wonderful!

Wow, impressive. I am sure she is going to be thrilled by it! :)

Alex, first rate job there! Like the pictures (photo's?) on the wall :) Brings back memories when I assembled one for my daughter some years ago.

Beautiful work, Alex!!:cool::cool::cool: I real Victorian painted lady, and what attention to detail.

Absent your remarkable skills, I plan on spending an arm and a leg to buy a dollhouse like that for my Ashley, but doing the work yourself makes it twice as special for your little girl.

Hi Alex,

What a magnificent doll house! I am very, very glad you posted pictures of it. My wife collects children's miniature antique tea sets and glass toy dishes. In fact, we might best be described as "miniature junkies," so seeing your excellent doll house is quite exciting. Frequently, I visit doll house furniture sites just to view the wonderful furniture and decorative items available for doll houses. And, like yourself, I wish many of these items were available in 1/30 or 1/32 scale. They would add much wonderful detail to dioramas.

We are also expecting our first granddaughter in October. Seeing your doll house provides me with some thoughts about future projects for my granddaughter. Did you build the doll house completely from scratch or did you construct a kit? In any case, your work is breathtaking. Your daughter will be greatly excited and you should have hours of fun watching her play with the doll house.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

unbelievable work ! champion du monde ! best of the best ! for your daughter a dream will come true :D:D:D:D:D:D. congratulations from Germany Marcus

Thanks everybody my daughter is enjoying it very much.

Well Pat its basically a kit of just the shell of the house. The rest were all seperate other little kits, accessories, scratchbuilt pieces, etc all coming together. It was almost like building a real house the walls need to be prime and the electrical wiring needed to be run then comes the selecting of wallpaper and crown molding and so on. That was the fun part for my daughter picking out wallpaper and furniture.

Beautiful work Alex, it's a very special piece, which has your trademark skill plastered all over it. Real nice finish to the whole house.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the information! The processes and challenges you faced building this beautiful doll house are much like I expected. My compliments for a job exceedingly well accomplished!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Very nice work Alex. Your daughter will have a beautiful doll House to play and it will be a treasure knowing her Dad built it just for her. John

If you showed someone some closeup photos of the rooms and didn't mention it was a dollhouse, you might think it's a real room. Great work as usual.

Fantastic job Alex.......those kits are really detailed.......you're a great Dad and I'm sure your daughter loves you for doing this.

She will remember this forever....;);)
