If you don't know the Emperi museum you have to visit their website at http://emperi-museum.org/

Look in the pictures section under La Grande Armée and you will see original napoleonic uniforms including foreign standards. Simply incredible !

thanks for posting the lint to Empiri, I had seen one link way back, but this is a new site, and still has loads of wonderful images.

This museum is on my list of places to visist when I'm next in France. In July my fisrt stop in Paris was to visit Les Invalides and the Armee Musee because the Noapleonic Era gallery was finally opend afer about 4 years of renovation. being able to stand so close to the uniforms and see all of the details was my highlight of the trip to Paris. 3 1/2 hours just wasn't long enough for just that gallery.... I'll go again.
