Hiya! I am hoping that someone on here can help me out identifying a horse I have recently acquired. I have no idea what it is (picture is attached) but it seems to be hollow and stamped on the horses belly is "Made in England" and "DR (space where is saddle line goes) AINS LTD and a line that I believe says "YRIGHT"

You can see by the picture he is not in the best condition, has some chipped paint and one of his hoofs is broken off. But I thought someone might be interested or know more about it. I am willing to sell (on the off chance someone IS intereseted) for any reasonable offer + shipping from the USA.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
What you read as DR...AINS is probably Britains, or William Britain, a toy soldier company that was started in the late 1800s, and still exists today. The horse is probably from a royal coach, and, unfortunately, is probably worth under $5.
Sorry for any disappointment,
Sandor

As Sandor says it is made by William Britain but is from their Racing Colours of Famous Owners series

The horses came in brown, white or black and came with a jockey wearing the colours of (for example The King, Princess Elizabeth, Lord Astor and many other famous people and stables) The were for the most part individually boxed and were larger than the popular 1:32 scale. The horses stood about 4 inches high. They can command high prices, as this one is damaged I would expect the price would be minimal but I am not sure what the value would be.

Guess I learned something new! Thanks

Thank you both so much for all of your help! I really appreciate it and couldn't have found out without you!
