As a fellow George MacDonald Frasier fan I assume you read his Dand MacNeil/MacAuslan trillogy . . . this reminds me of his short story about Scottish soccar fans (I think its in "The Sheikh & The Dustbin"). Read it again and you will feel better, or at least have a good laugh.

Yes - MacAuslen, "The Dirtiest Soldier In The World". Brilliant books, with an underlying touch of the truth as well.
Thing is, when you support the Scotland International Football Team, you just take it as granted that you've bought a ticket for an emotional rollercoaster ride. That's okay, we're all used to the "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" scenario. Can you believe, we beat France twice during the group stage?
Och, next time maybe......and we've only been saying that since 1974....
