I am a fan of Forces of Valor (hobby edition stuff) and I was suprised to see several of my tanks on a television commerical on the Military Channel last night Tuesday, 16 Aug 05. In fact, I saw it three times. They did show the hands of what I assume to be a younger person, not a real young hand, but around 10 to 12 years old. They had the German Tiger I and the King and the US Sherman in the foreground with other types in the background. It looks like they are really going for a larger market appeal. Not quite the same name branding as Coke or Chevy, but still, its a national cable and satelite channel.

Good for them. I just hope that they stick with the smaller hobby shops. It doesn't seem likely though as they already sell to Toy 'r' Us and other mega-stores.

They do have a superior product for the price. Wish I could have seen the comercial.

Wonder if Andy ever thought of doing that, esp. on the History Channel on the weekends when they become the Military History Channel.

I also caught the commercial. Kinda reminded me of the old Marx Civil war Playset commercial that ran in the early sixties. I was too old at the time to ask for a playset for Christmas, so I talked my younger brother into getting it.
It worked, so I used that ploy the next year and he got the Marx Battleground set.
It wasn,t until I was in my fifties that I came out of the toy soldier closet.
