Picture of the Double Wall, inside in fort. Cross section members are the rectangles emerging from the wall, perpendicular to the long axis.

The wall construction methods used for the reconstruction at Fort Ligioner are probably accurate for the time period --- much more so then the wall reconstruction techniques used at Fort William Henry.

Now looking for a view of the double wall from the outside

The fort is one of the better FIW sites to visit. They have a ton of FIW books available in the shop that you won't find most places. Also, there is a small toy soldier shop in the town.
