Fantastic photos and thanks for sharing.

When seeing even ‘basic’ fortifications as these seem, it always makes me wonder about the death or attrition of besieging/attaining forces.

Who in their right mind would want to have a bash at clambering over those piles let alone a castle’s walls.

My exact thoughts when I first saw those "wonderful pictures", rather a daunting task to be sure. When you consider there are guys up on those walls trying to "SHOOT YOU" it makes it even more scary ... {sm2}

Excellent photos and VERY descriptive and detailed presentation. I have seen a few pictures of the "outside" before ... on this forum I believe, but not the inside.
