What is your favourite type of D-Day figure or set?^&confuse

Is it British? Canadian? Polish? Commandos? American? French?^&grin

And what kind of things? Landing Craft/Beach figures? Tanks/vehicles in action? Tanks/vehicles for in resting place or patrol, like the old greyhound and american 1st Infantry jeep? Do you prefer figures to be in action poses, like firing/advancing? Is it paratroopers? Infantry? Armoured? Bulge? Prisoner sets?

Do you prefer to collect just one unit if it released, such as Rangers, 1st Infantry, British 3rd Infantry? British Welsh Guards Armoured Division Or mix and match:)

For me it's a mix^&grin I really like the Ranger beach figures with gas mask bags and invasion belts as these are pretty historically accurate for what one would have witnessed n a beach scene!:This has resulted in me building the beach diorama with the four older ranger sets and the recently retired ones too , as well as landing craft!:)

I also love the British 3rd Infantry releases; figures and vehicles!^&grin Since K&C's first few British 3rd Infantry Division releases I have always liked them! The idea of having lots of figures and vehicle sof the same unit in a diorama is something I have always liked, and due to this I have got the 3rd Infantry Division:

Bren Gun Carrier
Bedford Truck
Ambulance
Tommy Patrol
MP On Motor Bike
Standing Pointing MP
Medic Set
Bren Gun Team
Attacking
Moving Inland
British Tommy Turning
British Tommy Stretcher Bearer
Brtish Tommy Port Arms
British Tommy Rifle At Trail
British Tommy Sling Arms

All in the same diorama, and hope to add the four other figures soon-to-be released!^&grin

I also have a few of the older US 3rd infantry sets; 105mm Sherman, 82nd Bazooka team wwith Infantry figure, MP on Motorboike, Greyhound Armoured Car, Jimmy Truck, patrol, tank riders, and attacking patrol. Have always toyed with the idea of getting the Quad 50, Mortar team and standing MP but that would probably cost a bomb haha!:redface2:

I like collecting things of the same unit or regiment as I think this looks good in a diorama. Obviously in Napoleonic dioramas one has to get the same regiment for a realistic battle, but I think in W2 it also looks smart to have troops of the same unit together, or vehicles of the same regiment near one another!^&grin

What are your preferences?

I like to use the Americans for a Smackdown of the Reich theme, Spring '45. So nothing beachy or boaty. Just whatever can go inside a dusty German city.

When it comes to D-Day Scott I'm with you British all the way!!! I've really enjoyed seeing all the new British stuff that's come out recently by K&C its just a matter of getting round to picking them all up!!!

Yes they are very nicely done Scott, I don't really have the room for any myself though lol I think I might be tempted to get some yanks if K&C ever revisit the American Airborne though :wink2:^&grin{sm4}
