Does anyone have any FoV 1/32 aircraft? If so, what are they like and how is the quality? Are they all metal with the exception of canopies and such? I am especially curious about the Spitfires.

The Spitfire are very poor

Thanks UKsubs. Could you elaborate a wee bit?

I have to agree with UKsubs.
The gaps where the separate pieces join together are enormous. The rear-view mirror on mine was stuck on the wrong way round. The cannon are not very convincing and the rivets are so large that even the most short-sighted pedant could count them - and they would ensure Fokker Triplane from WWI could overtake FOV's Spit in level flight. The pilot figure looks like a monkey and the standing figure isn't much better.
Overall a very poor effort; I use mine as an ashtray these days.
IMHO, you'd be better off getting Figarti's P-40's or going for 21st Century planes, which being plastic might also cut down on delivery charges. If metal is your thing, then I understand that Corgi is pretty good.

No offence intended towards short-sighted, rivet-counting pedants. Or FOV aircraft enthusiasts......Or monkeys.

I used to have a few of the 21st Century planes (ME 109, Corsair and P51). Really great models but a little big. You need to have room.

Hey thanks Harry, tell me what you really think.:D Seriously that is helpful. For the price, I like the 1/32 Corgis, I have the Mark 1 and wish they would do a Mk IX. The Figarti seems nice but wrong aircraft and a little pricey for me, especially with fixed gear. I know, that is a personal thing but aircraft were meant to be viewed in flight, at least some of the time.;)

All these forum warbird pictures are making my Mark 1 lonely. FoV seems to be the only one with a 1/32 Mk IX:( Maybe I will try a Hobby Master 1/48 Mk XIV. They appear cheaper and better done than Franklin. Now what if I like monkeys?:D;)

That is interesting, never thought about a "plastic option". 1/18 is a tad big for my situation though, hard to make that a casual addition in the eyes of the SO.;) I notice they do have 1/32 but no Spits in that size.

Absolutely agree with the room issue Brad.
When I originally got K&C's LRGD Chevy's I was floating around an idea for a diorama of having them hit an Axis airfield in Libya. Was going to use two or three 21st Century Italian planes and maybe mix in a couple of Stuka's. I kind of went off the idea because it would take up the entire dining room table. But I'm beginning to tool that one around again now that Build-a-Rama have brought out their Watchtower set - and I'm also picking up one of Figarti's Chevy's on Thursday (assuming my new Chinese and Thai visa's come through by then), and I've got a few B-a-R sandbag diorama accessories I could use for it as well. Missus H would kill me if I ruined her dining table, but maybe I can get my hands on a cheap and cheerful second-hand coffee table to use for this project.
Hmmmm......

I've got all 21st Century Fw 190D & a few Me 262 & have just got 1/16 21st Century Me 262 Night fighter & it lovely

Witch one
I've got the full set so far

Carousel 1/48 Fw 190D 9/11 look great to + Armour Me 262
I ordered the Hobby Master 1/48 Spitfire Mk14, RAF No.610 Sqn, Richard Newbery from Flying Mule. I did not see a HM FW190 there. Of course I would've liked to order from TF for hosting this nice forum but that does not seem to be a line they carry.
I was not aware of Carousel until you mentioned it. They look nice as well. Maybe next order? Thanks for the info.

I received the Hobby Master 1/48 Newbery Mk 14 today and you were rigth, it is very nice. Thanks UkSubs for the recommendation. I think I will try some more of their line.

I also got a Gemini Jet 1/72 limited edition Mk 9. It is quite nice and better put together than the Corgis I have in that scale in most respects. I may have to get some more of those as well. I wonder how they compare in price appreciation?
