FOV Panzer IV Ausf G - 80314 Question (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I just received some FOV tanks that I ordered, and one of them was the Panzer IV Ausf G #80314 Enthusiast Edition...

And here's the weird thing, the figure included looks nothing like the one on the package. It actually looks like this one, from an earlier set:

...He's got a white coat, and frankly has very dark skin... really he looks like he's of African descent. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm struggling with the historical...accuracy...of an African serving in the German WWII military. Does anyone know what the deal is with this figure?

A lot of the figures that came with the vehicles at that time all had really dark skin too. For example the winter hanomag that has some figures leaping out of the half track and into action. Their more recent figures have returned to having lighter skins.

My versions and the half-track have dark skin. The models then were much darker on the skin color. My latest the Tiger- Eastern Front with riding figures have light skin tones. John
