I picked up a box of French Cavalry figures at an Antique Market years ago. I never heard of them or know if anyone else has these types of figures.
In Henry Kurtz and Burt Ehrlich book The ART OF THE TOY SOLDIER on page 99, they have some information on these figures.
The figures were made by Commandant Henri Borie of Saint Aignon - Orleans France.
He made 5-12 Cavalry figures per box or 5-20 foot figures. These 30 mm semi-round cavalry are well sculpted with charm, superior design and painting. They were made following WWll into the 50's. I have a box shown marked Murat Dragoons. He made Napoleonic period figures, French Revolution and American Revolution along with Turks, Arabs and Chinese figures. I never saw any of his other figures or if anyone has any? John
