I remember reading that the French Larrey’s Ambulance would have accompanying figures.

Some questions, fishing for information:

1. Has anyone heard whether there will a head horse with a driver?

​

​

The original ambulances were designed to be pulled by two horses, with the driver riding the lead horse.

​

2. Since the horses are standing will the driver be mounted or standing beside the horse?

​

3. When might we expect their release?

I see that JJ's French Ambulance already has the attachment rings for a future lead horse and rider (excellent planning), or JJ can add a standing ambulance attendant figure that is holding or guiding the horse and ambulance cart (many options); that can be added to help defray cost of the scene over time. Only other observation is the cart is shown in natural wood in lieu of French Military Field Equipment Green.

I asked John about the additional figures back in May when the ambulance was released and this was his reply ....

There will be an extra horse, in tandem with a rider/driver. This will come later.
I found with the Supply Wagons and Limbers that not everyone wants the complete 6 horses. I produced all 6 horses, and now have many left over.
So what I decided to do is wait and see what the demand will be, and then produce the second horse later on.
There will be medics, medical teams, and stragglers….. but released at my usual straggling pace

So I hope that helps answer your questions, as I'd love to have the lead horse and rider, and a medical scene as well.

They are made by ARTIG. They do an ambulance too but it is more expensive than JJD's.
