Hey guys,
I have spent enough time marching in an English-style pipe band to know that the officers/NCOs in the British Army march on the right side of their troops.
But what about the French?
Do they "guide right" or do they do something else? I am most interested in the time frame of the Napoleonic Era, but any tidbits you have on this subject will help.
