What's this ???

It is a lifting mechanism that all artillery forces use to lift barrels of guns, or gun carriages when servicing their guns. This is a field version that could be used when the gun carriage is damaged by counter battery fire, but the gun is still serviceable. Also useful for changing wheels when they are broken.

This set was sold by John Eden on his Ebay site, but I don't know who the maker is.

I added some more details like the hook to secure the rope on the single let, the rope and the hook/pulley. The chain and loop was included.

I have painted the gunners as line foot artillery. This will fit in very nicely with my Hinchliffe Field Forge that I recently showed off.

Hope like it,

Excuse my lack of knowledge about gin but thought you were referring to a gin bottle with a French artillery label ! But then again I don't think gin is a French drink.
