Friday evening and London show (1 Viewer)

Cheeky +£$*"*

That was abuse, you were in the wrong room

sorry can't join you today but wish you all a great time

Kevin,

Absolute pleasure to see you on Saturday mate, great to see you at the show again.

Just back from a superb day at Duxford , I think our visitors enjoyed it!!:salute::

Rob

Thanks for all the pics Rob for us who cannot attend in person. Thank goodness for the internet and forum! Another successful show for sure. Shows like this really don't come around to my neck of the woods and as I'm a working man with family the likelihood of me ever getting to one of the "big shows" in the U.S. or U.K. is slim to none. :(

Hey CFM,

My pleasure mate. I am very sorry (to all you guys:redface2:) I didn't take more pics but I must be honest and confess that the social side of the show took over me this time and I spent lots of time with the guys chatting and discussing the tables and not taking enough pics:redface2::redface2: Again apologies and I'll put that right at the December show.

CFM, I know just what you mean about the shows, but believe me if ever you can make it to London you'll be assured of a very warm welcome my friend:smile2:

Thanks Rob, you know it was mutual seeing you and all the rest of the Brit Pack, it was a great pick me up! Just sorry I wasn't up to coming to Duxford.

Rob, can you do something about the bar persons next time mate, maybe we need Janes to sort it, he seems to have a gift?

What a great time this weekend, especially great to meet Ed, Howard and Jenny and Chris and Jill, in person, you can consider yourself honorary Brits as far as I am concerned. All you need is a taste for warm flat beer and you are in!

For you Aussies, you should know that Howard kept your end up OK, despite several assaults of Brit humour he dug in like a tick on a kangaroo's whatsit, even complained of water breaks in some cricket game, excuses or what? Liked his Norwich City shirt, they must be next seasons fashion or something.

As for Chris and Ed, they truly 'stand alone', great guys, so glad we met in person.

Louis, you know it was great to see you again.

Special thanks to Wraith and Easy, you know guys!

Finally - thank goodness - it takes a lot to organise a symposium like this and costs a lot in time and effort. I can't thank Clive, Sue, Louis(?) and the other patrons (I am not even sure who they all are) enough for their kindness and hospitality - It was truly appreciated.

:salute::^&grin^&grin^&grin^&grin

I have probably missed someone/thing out, if so I sincerely apologise, just blame it on the tablets, I do .......

Kevin I'm just really glad you made it to London mate despite not feeling your best , I really hope you can make it in December too, we need you on the team!

I gotta say I just loved the last few days. The people I met for the first time and the people I've now known for some years are really top folk, genuine, open, friendly , the real deal. Don't get me wrong you KNOW I LOVE MY TOY SOLDIERS:salute:: but this is the best side of this hobby my friends, the social side. Long may it continue and for anyone who is thinking of joining us for the first time you will always be made most welcome. My sincere hope is that I will meet up again with Louis, Howard and Jenny, Chris and Jill, Ed , Steven and his family (please tell me I haven't left anyone out....every time I right these names I'm thinking I've forgotten someone!) either in London again or one day in America/Australia.

Long haul now until the next show.

Best to all of you and thanks again

Rob

Dear All

I seek some advice regarding the London shows; is the December London Toy Show bigger / smaller / different from the June show; ie does the weather deter vendors and show attendees' in winter or does the festive season make the December show grander? (or of-course neither)

Thanking you in advance.

Scott
