Hi Gary,

Thanks very much for the news that Frontline Figures is bringing back the Thin Red Line range.

Did the article say if the new sets are to be in gloss or matte paint finish?

I have almost completed my collection of the 93rd Highlanders at Balaclava, 1854 with sets by Frontline and W. Britain.

The Crimean War is one Victorian military campaign that I have no Trophy sets, not even a single figure.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

It would be good if they could revive their Sudan series as well. They had some cool camels.

Dear Raymond:
I would assume the new production of "The Thin Red Line" Frontline Figures will be in gloss as title of the one page article noted in part that "Gerald Prime of Frontline Figures has revived his GLOSSY 'Thin Red Line' range". I saw no comment about going over to matte.
Best regards, Gary 3/14/2010

Dear Gary,

I think the Frontline sets of Sir Colin Campbell with the 93rd Highlanders of the Thin Red Line look good in gloss.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Dear Raymond:

I may like matte better for the extra realistic dioramas I have. But I can go with glossy figures as well at times.

Apologies for hijacking, but I wish they'd revive the Colonial Classics line.

Prost!

Brad,

No apology needed. Gary (Iron Brigade) has a nice collection of Frontline Colonial Classics.

He has thinned out his collection a little, but he has a nice diorama of these figures.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

Dear Brad & Raymond:
Yes, what I have left of the Frontline Figures (FF) Colonial Classics line of all the farming related sets still makes a great display. I believe FF first came out withj their Colonial (American) Classics line in 1996. I assume they may be hard to get from FF or dealers as they are not in current production as far as I know.
