Hey guys-

Does Frontline have a website? I caught up with another collector this weekend and he told me Frontline is doing so much more now- all I ever remember them doing were Naps- high quality stuff but a period I am not interested in. I reviewed some of the pics here on this forum and it looks like they are really branching out. Anyway, just curious if they have a website where I can catch up with what they have been doing.

Thanks,
CC

Hi Chris.

Try www.frontline-figures.com

Hey guys-

thanks for the link- I saw those F&I war figures this past weekend- they look really nice. Do you think they would work with Rev war stuff as well?? I cannot see why not. I may jump into that line as well- really love the canoes plus the "over the top" 20th anniversary set is excellent.

Hi Chris,

Did you see any of the Winged Hussars and Ottoman Turks? I want an opinion before I dive into that pool. They look good on line

Let me know what you think.

All the best

Dave

Hey Dave-

No, I don't recall seeing the Ottoman's but the Winged Hussars looked really good. It seems to me, and I may be off here, but these mounted figures are really escalating in price. It seems like at a higher pace than the other foot troops or even vehicles. Has anyone else noticed that? I want to say my buddy was selling these Hussars around $65/ each. I may be mistaken though- he has cramped display cases so I may have been reading the wrong tags.

Hi Chris,

I too had noticed the higher prices for them but I suspose that goes with the territory since these guys are complicated and the painting probably takes longer even for the pros. I will keep an eye open for some and let you know if I manage to grab them up.

All the best

Dave

I have one of them Dave. As usual the figure is great and the horses eehh not so hot. Since my computer died I will have to wait until I can reload the software and take a new pic.

Hey Dave-

yeah- KV is correct here- how could I have forgotten-probably because I posed at 3:39 this morning after my toddler woke up and I hadn't- but the horses look pretty drab- they threw out an ancients figure- I believe it is an Egyptian Chariot and the horses look average at best. Seriously though, they took the time with the figures- they themselves look great but the horses look like a once over and done. Truthfully, the horse paint jobs make it hard to drop $60+ dollars on the mounties. I am a fan of their French and Indies and WW1 figs but the mounties a little less so....take a REAL close look at them before purchasing.

I have to agree, in comparison to other companies, the Frontline horses look more like Hobby Horses. That's the reason I didn't buy any of the scots grey figures.

Or the Lancers, regardless of their great paint jobs. Frontline are you Listening??????? Meltdown any existing horses you have in stock resculpt and your mounted figures will see an increase. You guys are better than this I know it.
