Fubars russains are ready and he,s selling them on ebay and they look great!!! I picked up one of each of the grenadiers last week and painted them up and had a great time doing so.
They come in kit form and need a little work but they are well worth the effort and a great value compared to most metal cast kits and plenty of poses to make a great diorama.
Here are the pictures of the ones I painted up. I,m no great painter but some one with some painting skills could make these things look incredible because they are very detailed and also historiclly accurate and they fill a munch needed gap in whats out there fore napoleonics as there are not many russain napoleonics out there and what is out there is not up to the great sculpting quality of these. I just ordered some of the artillary sets he has and can,t wait to get started painting them.

Fish, You are FAST!!!! They look great! I haven't even seen some of those poses painted until now!I'm too busy or pooped to paint, making soldiers is hard work! Thanks for the kind words.

I have a bucnh assembled and some primered but they've been sitting around for a month or better.
I'll probably do a few more infantry poses, then a few Toads.
Been busy{ as I can } on some Ancients. Rome and the Barbarians.
Heres a couple pics of some Imperial Legionnaires. LMK what you think. I'm dying to paint some. I have a HUGE 28mm collection thats painted and yet I am still foaming at the yap to do 54mm.Wer'ent some of you guys discussing toy soldiers collecting as a sickness?

Are these the romans that you are casting??? And did you paint these??? They look great!!! Now you,ve got me wanting to get some romans also.:p I tried my best to paint up your russains the best I could but i,m far from an artist and painting 15-16 all at once you tend to rush and miss stuff and your eyes start to go after awhile.:p They still need some touching up and I missed a few things like the gun straps and I want to redo the bases of them and might floc them.

I,m half blind and they looked a lot better to me before I saw them blown up on the computor screen. Thats when you start to see all the stuff you missed and how bad your painting really is.:p I need to get one of those lighted magnifing glasses or something.

I,m glad to see your doing more more castings and hope to see more napoleonics. Keep up the great work.
Any thoughts on doing some napoleonic cavalry? Maybe some russain cuirassiers and french ones also to go with the borodino theme and the attack on the great redout??? Some saxon gaurd and cuirassier cavalry also for the redout attack???

Fish, The Russians look splendid! Don't knock yourself.I'm glad to see some painted up!I know what you mean by rushing and being half blind anymore.I can't sit longer than 10 minutes and standing painting doesnt work to well either. My days of Marathon painting are behind me.I think you did the Blackcat Russians proud.

Yes, Those are the Ancients I am casting and no, I didnt paint them. I think Aaron Brown the former owner of Alpha miniatures { the man that sculpted the Russians, He did a good job, all I did was sketch what I wanted and send him some books on uniforms.} painted them. I own his works and website now. If I could only figure out this webpage ---- I would have it up and running.
Theres apporx 50 different Romans , barbarians and gladiators and I just got the last of the molds made.

Napoleonic Cavalry would be nice but I have so many irons in the fire it's difficult to keep up.Maybe next year?!?!

FubARrRrrrRr:rolleyes:

Fubar: Your Russians and also the Romans look good. Nice castings and I think Tim did a nice job painting the Russians. We all see our own faults when painting.I know you been really busy to even have time to paint. Take care. John
