I took this photo on my mobile during a recent skirmish- I think it just brings out John's excellent animation and feel for character..............

Couldn't agree more.(Nice pic by the way)I had a close up look at John's Culloden figures, and the character in the faces is truly superb. Can't wait for his Nile releases, they will be my first JJ figures:cool:

Hi Mr Evzone
That's a very good photo - For the future I would like to see JJ make an English Civil War series - what do you guys think back in the home land ???

I'm with you there Frank, much overlooked conflict that would have some appeal over here. Not sure if our friends in the US would go for it though.

Hi Rob
It was just a thought - So long as he keeps away from WW1 and 2. I think the 20th century is well covered - How about the invasion of Canada after the ACW - we won that one :D like to see some Royal Mounted Canadians

Funny you say that Frank. At the London show I said to John that if he ever did WW2 I'd be bankrupt,he said not to worry has he had no plans to.However having seen his Sudan/Nile figures I'm still going to need more cash!;)

Hi Rob
there you go again - name dropping - I just love JJ's products -but trying to keep up is getting a problem. It's not that I'm against WW1 and 2 but there are too many good manufacturers producing the same periods. God only knows what some of these collectors do for a living - however I am bias as to "redcoat" and pre 20th century history. For me the ACW changed the hole aspect of warfare - after all trench war was Robert E Lee's tactics and look what happened to the PoMs in 1914 - 18. I'll stick to what ever JJ decides and take up robbing banks to pay for it. :p

Sorry about the name dropping Frank,I guess I shouldn't mention Jennifer Anniston buying me one in the bar then:p;)

Yes I agree, there are plenty of WW2 suppliers,we are well catered for in that dept. The reason I'm going to be buying JJ and some Britains Sudan figures is that its something different,a branching out collection for me.

And I agree re the Trenches our young men (and of Aus,South Africa,Canada,New Zealand,India etc)suffered terribly as did the Germans.(easy to see why Hitler wanted his lightning war and not a repeat of round one!).

Now that is a good shout - ECW in matte, buy I can't see it being a draw for the U.S. collectors. Also, considering JJs excellent work on the 1745 range, I'd love to see him turn his hand to Scottish Covenanter or Royalist Montrose figures. There is a lot of scope with the New Model Army and Prince Rupert's cavalry. As for personalities you'd be spoilt for choice to kick the range off. But, JJ can do all of this after the Franco-Prussians!! ;)

She only bought you a drink 'cos she thought she'd get a discount off the K&C stand you were supposed to be working on. I'm sure I heard Tony say takings were down...something about scaring off the punters ;)
