I thought this was a funny one...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190466093418

the ad says...

LIONEL O 1253 QUICKSILVER EXPRESS TRAIN SET BOX

the guy that bought it gave him a negative rating and commented...

"i bought this item , and its an empty box ,i want my money back. misleading"

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...:p:D:):rolleyes::p:eek:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...ch=negative&interval=30&_trkparms=negative_30

the ad does say..."box"...

the full description says..."AUCTION IS FOR EMPTY BOX COMPLETE WITH CARDBOARD INSERTS ONLY. BOX HAS WEAR AND TEARS. CELLOPHANE WINDOWS ARE INTACT."

I guess the buyer didn't read it closely...

I thought it was hilarious...

Mike - what is even worse is the seller has more than 350 negative feedback and more than 350 neutral feedback. Why would anyone buy from this guy :rolleyes::confused:

Terry

Yeah, but in 12 months he has 71,315 positive. That's not a bad average if you think about it.

I've had similar happen to me. No matter how in depth your descriptions are, there's always going to be a few out there who refuse to read what you've taken time write. They look at the photo, bid and that's it. Then it's your fault cause "the buyers always right".

Terry...

the perfect example of caveat emptor...

buyer beware...

the guy does have 164,000 successful sales...

and a rating of 99.4%...

actually...I bought from him and left him a positive response...hahahaha...

I just thought the guys reply was funny...

the ad says it's..."It's an empty box."...

his reply was just toooooooo funny to me...

"i bought this item , and its an empty box ,i want my money back. misleading"

Another genius. Ad seemed to explain it all and he's still mad.

This has happened to me several times but the folks were not jerks and did leave me negative feedback.
I'd sell my 54mm metal kits.
Clearly stated ; white metal lead free unpainted kits, need assembly. 54mm metal 4-7 piece kits.Easy to assemble with medium thick superglue or epoxy. You assemble, prime and paint.

Buyer complains, I thought these were painted!!! I want my $$$ back!
I'd think to myself,
You really thought you were getting x 8 metal 54mm painted French Napoleonic figures for $40?Especially when they are listed as kits????

No , I am sorry. They were clearly advertised as kits.

WHUTZ A KIT??????

It has happened several times but the last two, the buyers realized they made a mistake, stated such and we agreed to cancel the deal and I got my listing fee's back.

READ the ads and terms, EYEball what what you are looking at, Check sellers feedback, ask a question if unsure. It ain't difficult!

But, I cant play with the box!!!!!

FUbARrRRrrrRrrRrrrrrrr
