Broke out some D-Day Allies this New Year's Day for some Fury Road action. ^&grin

Yep ... I can see "Combat" all over the scene.

Obviously, Sarge in front .... Kirby sitting on the near side of the turret …. Caje on the far side on the turret …. Nelson sitting in the back … Little John standing on the far left …. AND Lt. Hanley directing operations on the far right ….

Well done, Rob.

Thanks Larry. You've painted a nice visual as well. Now we just need to petition Andy to make some of these actual characters. ^&grin

now we need a 'Rat Patrol' set release-{sm4}
Even better Mike. My bro and I always argued over which series was better. I was always partial to Rat Patrol, although episodes were only 30 minutes.

EDIT:

This was my 1st tribute to Combat:

but I always liked this picture from Andy/K&C:

Lol, I had similar debates with some buds-and was also skeptical that a jeep could even work with an M-2 mounted. A video that addresses that question:

Cool video Mike, thanks for sharing. So aside from the "Hot Brass" on the driver, looks like it was doable.^&grin
I always pondered more about how a Molotov cocktail could take out a convey of yellow painted school buses, German-American Patton tanks, and an M3 Half Track.
Oh, and how green shop glass wearing Eric Braeden's (Dietrich's) command-Kubel never seemed to get shot up. Classic! {sm4}

LOL, yeah, you kinda had to leave a bit of common sense at the door when you watched that show..but it was fun

Andy ... If K&C could, and would release the remaining cast for the Combat series, DD collectors will surely support. K&C could even charge abit more for the " Little John " figure. {sm4}

Happy New Year

I'd pay a bit more for Little John. {sm4}

Although, I am not a WWII Europe collector per say, there are special sets that would be to hard to pass up.

Just like the set ... "Searching for Pvt. Ryan" … a set of "Combat" specific figures would be hard NOT TO COLLECT.
They would be unique and a bit of nostalgia for those great WWII TV shows of the 60's and 70.

Not sure of the legal ramifications to make "Kirby", "Little John", "Doc" and more.

For "The Rat Patrol" you could probably use the EA025 - SAS "RECCE" Jeep, and a few more of the EA series, I guess ...:rolleyes2:

I would be in for a COMBAT set!

Always felt sorry for the guest stars in Combat, you knew they were going to cop big time and the regulars at worst would get a flesh wound. Yep I would be up for a set for nostalgia. Robin.

Would be awesome, Larry!

Sort of like an Away Team from the original Star Trek series.{sm4}

The TV series have variously been uploaded on Youtube. Average views per upload range from 300k to over a million. Thats a huge fanbase.
