I have a figure of Buffalo Bill marked on the base made in Wales. It looks like it says "for G J Allinge. I seem to remember I bought it from this firm in Iowa about 30 years ago. There is some smudging on the metal so the name is hard to read. I seem to recall that they made about 10 different figures of which one I think was a Highway Patrolman. Does anyone know for certain the name of the firm who sold the figures, who in Wales made them for them and what the other figure poses were? Any help is greatly appreciated.

In doing a little research I found that the Buffalo Bill is pictured on page 9 of OTSN Vol #19 Issue #4 Aug-Sept 1995. It is written about on page 8 saying it was part of an "Iowa Heroes" set. I seem to remember Marilyn Monroe, John Dillinger, Highway Patrolman and I think Bonnie & Clyde. The article on Buffalo Bill says Jan Scroby"produced a portrait of Bill on commission for the (now famous) "Iowa Heroes" set, and then later produced in their Marlborough singles range a mounted Bill waving his hat, as well as Bill on foot along with Annie Oakley from the show. These figures were in the American Heroes (of the west) set #16A.. I have that 16A set but my question is, did Jan Scroby only work for Blenheim or did the Scrobys work for Marlborough too. I am confused but would like a little help on locating these "Iowa Heroes" figures. I think they were advertised in the 80's in ads in OTSN. Unfortunately I sold all of my early volumes many years ago. Can someone please provide some information? Thank you.
