Someone knows where i can find this figure? On the WB site i can see it was created and sold for the Ontario Model Society, but i contacted them and received no answer. Do you know if there's an alternative seller?
At present, the production version has not been released. The OMSS has the rights, and can be purchased from several vendors when they get them. Check with Scott Dummit, he is the liaison with Britain,s for this figure.
I received this message in my email inbox this morning:
OMSS Members...
At long last they are here!
We have received our figures of General Sir Arthur Currie, commander of the Canadian Corps of the Great War. This is a specially commissioned, limited edition figure produced for us by the W. Britain company. (Britain's catalogue number 10073) They are 1/30 scale in matte finish and come in Britain's "Museum Collection" boxes. Only 250 figures were produced. Two of our members who are Britain's dealers subscribed for a total of 50 figures. Britain's kept 10 for their partners and the Society has the balance of 190 figures. The Society will offer these exclusively to our members for a limited time.
Members in good standing (2019 dues paid up) will be able to purchase up to two of the figures at a special members-only price of $36 each. This offer is good until the end of September 2019. After that we may decide to make the remaining figures available to non-members.
The figures will be available at the show on June 15.
Following the show we will make a further announcement with details of how you can order the figure over the summer for pick-up at a meeting in the fall or have it shipped to you (cost to be determined).
It's a great opportunity to acquire a rare figure of a special Canadian subject for your collection.
Scott Dummitt and Grant Lawson are the dealers that will have a small stock of figures to sell to the public at regular retail pricing. (Some are already spoken for by their customers.)
Another good reason to get yourself out to the ON PARADE show June 15!
So, if you've ordered a figure, it shouldn't be much longer. If you'd like to order one, do so soon!
