Genius is an American anthology period drama television series produced by National Geographic, developed by James Hawes, Minkie Spiro and Ron Howard, which is set to premiere on April 25, 2017. The first season will consist of ten episodes, and follows the life of Albert Einstein, from his early years as a patent clerk, to his later years as a physicist who developed the theory of relativity. The season is based on the 2007 book Einstein, His Life and Universe by Walter Isaacson.

This is turning out to be a worthwhile series. I'm quite enjoying it.

I am too! Only watched the first one so far, but enjoyed it.

The last episode was last week and I thought the series was outstanding. I didn't know that much about Einstein and learned a lot. I've ordered the Isaacson book and can't wait to get started.

I look forward to next year's series.

I just watched the last episode last night. One of the best things I've seen on tv in a while. The two actors who played Einstein should get Emmy's. They advertised a second season for 2018. Not sure how that will turn out since Einstein's brain is in a jar.

I thought the actor who played young Einstein, Johnny Flynn, was fantastic.

Subsequent seasons will focus on other scientists.

Not a huge TV watcher, but I enjoyed this. The "10-hour-miniseries" appears to be a pretty popular format on cable-channels these days. It was nice to see one that didn't run out of relevant and compelling content after half that total. Of course, this assumes that we consider the professor's amorous adventures to be of historical interest!;)
