I posted this mainly as a bit of levity:D I'm sure most of us have had a

horror story or two. I remember Louis told me about a rare warbird that

arrived in pieces.

Lets hope everything turns out ok:rolleyes:

So it winds up a funny story, not a sequel to American Psyco:D

Its Alive.......Its Alive

Oh sorry wrong movie:D:D

It arrived! 15 days after it crossed the border suddenly it shows up!

Well its just wonderful, with a great certificate......one figure short, but

just something to hunt for!

Did I mention.......I love the 1st Arnhem Series:D:D

I like this set. Great poses. John, I thought you had this one.

Brad:

I have to say this First Series with the certificates is just wonderful! I never

ran into the set until now, but I'm enjoying it!

Nothing like finding an old set or two that you missed!:D:D

:) Ah,"All's well that ends well"-:) ,o.

To this day and I am not sure why -- but my daughter was in Canada for a few months several years back, and her letters to us always took between two and a half and three weeks to reach us. And, we live approximately ten miles from the US/Canadian border. (It would have been quicker for me to walk and visit her. )

For some reason, the Canadian post to the U.S. has been, and remains very slow.

It's the same going the other way too :( I generally wait 2-3 weeks for my parcels to be delivered.

Its that darn border, you leave Canada or the US and you have to cross

that maybe 1 inch and your there!

Can you imagine all the stuff stuck in that space:eek:

Yep, when stuff comes from other countries, I don't start worrying until a month has past. Like you said, stuff sometimes arrives quicker from the UK than from the USA because I think the custom guys on Canada's East Coast are laid back compared to the Customs Nazis and guard dogs patrolling the 49th parallel. So much for free trade and the longest unprotected border in the world, eh?

Since most ebay sellers I buy from are in the US it means there's usually a 2+ week delay between when I order something and when I recieve it. So it's kind of like firing a lock-on missile, you "order and forget". And then by the time it arrives you truly have forgotten what you ordered and you get that great Christmas surprise feeling because you don't know what's in the box! :D

I think we've all gotten too spoiled on lightning fast, inexpensive global mail made possible by cheap fossil fuels, so a little patience is called for. Just be glad it's not coming on wagons and ponies (yet)! :)
