You guys might remember Brian gave away a couple free sets in the New Winter Tiger thread.

This is the set I selected which I received today. I have to say I really like the figures. I think the sculpts and poses are really good. I quite like the dark gritty look as well. As for size they are quite beefy, slightly larger than K&C IMO. Overall a great set.

Thanks again Brian :)

This is in my top 5 favorite sets of the last year, really like:):):)

1/28 scale?

Depends which K&C set you compare it against, roughly the same size as the larger fall of berlin figures K&C pieces but definetely noticeably bigger than the smaller end of the K&C scale like some of waffen ss figures. Different style as well , dark and gritty looking:) That's my impression, looking at them-- maybe others could be more specific , or might disagree with my quick comparative eyeballing of them.. On that note with the new K&C 88 I noticed the new gunner crouching with the shell is a head shorter than the old 88mm figure from the gun crew, who has the exact same pose....So depends what they have to fit in with really

Glad your enjoying the set Frank.

My approach to the Toy Soldier Figure world has been one greatly influenced by the military miniatures I grew up with in the 80's and 90's. They were typically highly details works put out by VLS. Influences on my sculpts have been from artists like Bill Horan and others that combine vivid detail with fantastic animation.

As The Collecectors Showcase moves forward I hope to keep adding that hyper-realism to the Toy Soldier Genre and that tough gritty, very realistic look to the figures and armor. We've been overwhelmed by the success of Arnhem and it looks like we've found a quite a market for our ACW products. So the show goes on, thanks out there to everyone that has made '08 the best ever for the Showcase.

very best regards,

Brian

Don't forgte the 8th army Brian. We need something to hold off that 88 gun of yours

The gritty, realistic finish of the CS vehicles is what makes them standout, no need to change a thing.

Playing with that grenade does not look safe to me!

Brian! I am still waiting for the free Arnhem figure. Any idea of when we will be getting those in the mail?

The figures are the ones that really need to be worked on.

I have a few , and I think they are just a different style, I like them, they are different to other manufacturers, quite dramatic and gritty I think :)

I quite like the sculpts and paint (grittier and used looking). It is simply a different approach. The size still seems a tad large to me.

I'll admit these are not ideal to mix with your K&C but that is the choice this company has made.

Our scale was considered for K&C pieces brought to market about 6 months to a year ago: but as everyone knows, the K&C scale keeps changing all the time.

We found new K&C Marketgarden pieces completely unable to integrate with prior K&C MarketGarden releases. Why this is done?, we just don't get it.

However we are making an effort to ensure this just does not happen with our line as we move forward, rest assured. We are testing armor scale and figure scale all the time before we complete prototype models. Collectors should know that armor and figures scale perfectly and will not change as the company grows.

very best regards,

Brian
