We are very pleased to announce the commencement of ordering of GERSTAL023 German MG34 Tripod Mounted Machine Gun Team. We aren't calling this a pre-order really as this set will be shipping to customers in about 10 days (at the same time as our current pre-orders for the AWI, Cuirassiers/Dorsenne, and GERSTAL021 Howitzer Set and GERSTAL022 Hauptmann figures). So if you have a current pre-order open with us for the new figures, please just drop us an email if you want to add this set to your order.
Machine Guns played a critical role in the streetfighting of Stalingrad, allowing for a base of fire to be setup which was critical in assaulting or defending positions and keeping the streets clear of the enemy though the use of firelanes. We've presented the set here with the Gunner having removed his greatcoat for easier movement while firing the weapon, but still wearing his gloves and scarve around his neck reflecting the cold weather. The loader is still wearing his greatcoat and thus this set works well in both winter and non-winter scenes for added flexibility.
