Bryan, Thanks for posting these! I haven't been part of a G'burg reenactment since 1998. Nice to some actual horse drawn artillery limbers. What building is that supposed to be that's on fire? It looks like the Cemetery Gate.

Maybe he mixed up the photos from the Burning Man festival. ;)

Hi Scott, this was the burning of the Bliss Farm, Union troops burned it to prevent Confederate sharpshooters. There is no record of what the house looked like, although I do think there is a sketch of the house which may be most likely, I just can't remember the website I found it on. Maybe it was Don Troiani or Keith Rocco (I think Rocco) that said before he's done painting, that he would do a painting of this, but lacked physical appearance of the house. So in the future if you see a Rocco painting of the Bliss Farm, remember you heard it here first, LOL, that sounds like news station!
 
Thanks! I didn't think they burned "stuff" in US reenactments anymore.
