Here is a photo of a carving done by two union soldiers in 1889 when they returned for the dedication of the 143rd PA monument. It is on the McPherson Barn. The two soldiers were Jonas Tubbs and Singleton Goss. It is a little hard to see. But the nice thing it is at eye level. Hope you enjoy Bradother 007 (640x478).jpg
 
Well worth it. It is hard. It took me about 20 minutes and I knew where it was! :) it is on the side that faces McPherson's woods. But it is at eye level. So that makes it a little easier.
