I would like to say that the April 2006 issue#95 of Toy Soldier& Model Figure magazine has an article and pictures of Gideon's store this month. I enjoyed reading it especially since he is on Treefrog. Nice article Gideon. John

It's a nice article, yes, but unfortunately it came out after Gideon had to close his store.

I agree that it is unfortunate that it is so hard on small business. In our town I try to shop at the local stores- pharmacy- hardware etc. We even got a little 1950's type movie house that I enjoy going too. Been open since the 1930's. Local coffee shops and a famous state wide restaurant is here.Sure I shop at big box stores at times but enjoy our historic town with a traffic circle/ fountain and quaint shops. Victorian homes and a big home tour weekend every fall- parades during the seasons. New old fashion streetlights and other things. Great hospital and I don't miss living in Chicago anymore. Hope small towns don't dry up although three major companies moved out of town this year. John
