I am very satisfied with my purchases of painted toy soldiers (I bought mostly King and country and Del Prado) with which I made the dioramas of the eras and armies I wanted.

However, for some years now the main toy soldier factories have not produced what I want to finish my collection. Fortunately, I discovered that there are fantastic kits to paint.

After "the spaceman", "the drinking lansquenet", "the pirates of the Caribbean", "the medieval servants", "the musical entertainment of the medieval court" and "The eighteenth-century court" I am preparing "the gladiators of the circus".

These are the new ones( a " scissor" facing a " Murmillo" and a "Thracian" watching the scene) I just painted and put into a display. 5 more dioramas and my collection will be finished.

Ronin Miniatures of Ukraine makes some nice Gladiator assembled kits. A bit pricey, but I saw your ME violinist is one of their sculpts.
Very nice! This could be a big diorama... Colosseum?
Best Wishes

Hi Paddy, you are right, I bought some figures by Ronin among which is the violinist and the guitar player.
I also bought a revolution time mexican with a large sombrero for a future dio I am planning to make about the " Zapata westerns" ,a sub genre of the italian spaghetti western. Movies of the 70ies I loved in my youth like " Tepepa" starring Tomas Millian and Orson Welles or "Once upon a time...The revolution" starring James Coburn and Rod Steiger, or " El Chucho quien sabe?" starring Gian Maria Volonté. All with soundtracks by Ennio Morricone.

I am not going to do the Colosseum; I d like to do a little slice of a small province roman circus.)
